This letter announces the 2020-2021 ACT, SAT, TSIA, and Industry-Based Certification (IBC) local educational agency (LEA) reimbursement data as authorized by House Bill (HB) 3, 86th Texas Legislature, 2019.
Background
The College Preparation Assessment and Industry-Based Certification Examination Reimbursement, authorized by Texas Education Code (TEC), §48.155 and §48.156, provides reimbursement funding to LEAs for the cost of the administration of an ACT, SAT or TSIAandan IBCper studentbeginning in the 2019‐2020 school year. The Texas Education Agency () provides each LEA estimated funding annually, which can be found in the. settles up with LEAs in the spring of the following fiscal year once all student data is processed.
In summer 2021, LEAs submitted TSIA administration data to for reimbursement. In fall 2021, released the ACT/SAT testing data to LEAs in L for LEAs to review, verify and submit for reimbursement. Additionally, collected 2020-2021 fall and summer submission data in PEIMS for LEAs to request IBC examination reimbursement. processed all requests and finalized student-level reimbursements for LEAs for the April 2022 settle-up for the 2020-2021 school year.
Reimbursement Reports Available in L
The student-level reimbursement reports are now posted inLfor LEA record-keeping. LEAs can view the assessment and IBC exam for which they received reimbursement for a student. These reports are for LEA record-keeping purposes only. No action is requested from LEAs, and no appeals are allowed.
